I must confess when I was a child I, or probably most of us used to spend hours in front of the TV set playing video games. I once played for so long that my small TV set shut down and couldn't be turned on! How furious my parents were... But somehow over the years my obsession faded - my pastime shifted on computer games (that hobby also dwindled down for some reason... perhaps I was too 'busy' during my student life?)
Anyway Arman had a good job at relieving the past when he bought the tickets to see Video Games Live last night. I had no idea what it was all about- all I knew was it's a show where an orchestra plays the songs from popular video games. I did not anticipate for anything incredibly wonderful initially but boy was I wrong! I was blown away by how well planned the songs and the graphics were. It turned out that Video Games Live was founded by Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall for over than 8 years ago and the show had toured quite a number of countries before Malaysia. As a host Mr Tallarico was witty enough and knew just the exact words to make the audience burst with laughter. Near the end of the show both of Tallarico and Wall even played the guitar on stage!
I was especially excited in the first phase of the show particularly because I myself (and most of the audience I believe) had the memory of playing the evergreen Tetris / Contra / Mario Bros... I'm sure the frisky melodies of Mario Bros and the Russian folk song in Tetris is playing in your mind right now haha!
The show was a blast and I had a lot of fun that night. And yes, there was that weird fanatic fan moment when I took picture in front of the show banner...

Enough rambling about non-fashion topics...And last but not least the dying personal style section! Oh my was excited to dress up a bit for that evening (given that my everyday workwear is obscured by my blood-stained white coat). I wore this ultra crisp Naked and Famous shirt (yes it was so crisp it deserves ultra as the superlative).
I am pleased to inform you about Naked and Famous, a rather popular Canadian denim label but quite a stranger to most of us here in Malaysia who believe Levi's is the only denim brand worth buying.... Naked and Famous actually specialises in premium denim and shirts, and the fabrics are all imported from Japan. It's no secret that Japan has the most advanced technology in producing high-quality fabrics. I once read that the degree of fabric innovation and research is highly invested in that country, and most European fashion houses wanting to look for the latest hybrid fabrics or organic cotton will source them in Japan. It is even more unbelievable (like any other unexpected Japanese achievements) that not all discoveries of new fabric technology was revealed to the outside fashion world.
Well not wanting to sound/pretend like I'm a fabric expert I'd just say the shirt is surprisingly well-fitted to my petit frame and the arms are of appropriate length, no less..
Oh and this is the rad pair of canary yellow Sperry Topsiders that I got a while ago at Buntil.
