As the new year approaches it occurs to me that the year 2009 will truly be an adventurous and challenging year generally because I'll be entering the working sphere and whatnot. It will also mean the last year of my study in Russia and my last chance for extreme but wonderful four season climate. No more layers upon layers of clothes. Sigh.
Winter wonderland Russia
I'm trying to reflect upon what I've accomplished and have not done this year. Hmm, okay I don't really give a damn because I can't even remember most of the stuff, except it's been a lot of parties with close friends, the enjoyable summer backpacking in Scandinavia and other few trips during the summer holidays in Malaysia. Of course I don't have to mention the monotonous class - lecture - revision - examination cycle.
So YES, that's much about it. OMFG not to forget, I've started this blog back in October! This year my life has revolved around blogs (sad but true) - from the countless hours of fashion blog-hopping to photoshopping and updating this blog . Boy, how my view on fashion and style has changed ever since ....
My first designer shoe ever : Miu Miu slip ons
Talking about fashion, before this I think my style was held back by the fear and shyness of trying something new, or simply because my lack of knowledge- my outfit a few months ago was mainly, if not still, comprised of graphic tees + cardigans + jeans. Earlier when I think 'stylish' the image of all the high-street shops come into mind (you name it, I've been in it). But now, it's safe to say I believe that there's a bigger fashion world out there with all the exciting labels and designers. This year also marks the endless scouring of secondhand shops in Volgograd, consuming most of my free time (I was only familiar with the idea of thrift shopping earlier this year).
Having said that in a boring ranting kind of way, I'd like to wish a BIG HAPPY 2009 for you readers (may it be 10 or 100); HAVE A GREAT TIME and TO A BETTER WARDROBE IN 2009!!!
