Unfading turquoise

For this outfits post I'm combining the Chrisopher Kane print t-shirt with my go-to colored pants - the turquoise Sisley, that surprisingly still holds up after repeated use (it has been almost four years since I purchased them on-sale at the United Colors of Benetton store in Volgograd, Russia).

Perhaps this is proof of the sustainability of high-street clothing in terms of quality, and perhaps it's not an exaggeration to say that the quality is almost comparable to the expensive designer ones. Of course I will not place myself into another high-street x high fashion battle by stating which camp 'pioneers' in the design and esthetics department, but personally, I appreciate the beauty of both worlds. One supports the other in many different ways and I'm glad the lines separating them are blurred ever so...

But saying that, I have had pretty durable Zara duffel bag, construction is not bad...materials are not great but it was 'durable' , only started falling apart after 3 years and I'm still using it! I guess its how you take care of it. Durability however is not necesarily quality.

Saying that, I'm working in an industry which is turning smiilar to what the high street fashion industry model is based on (high turnover, lowering wages). I can definitely sympathise with those who criticise high street fashion as being an unsustainable model.

Gunmetal, yes I agree 'durability' does not equate 'quality' but in this case quality is perhaps a subject fit for a tailoring expert who can dissect how well made a certain clothing is made. What I'm trying to say is how some people in the 'fashion elite' world dismisses high-street fashion clothing as non-lasting and cannot even last a few washes.

Thank you for your other comments as well - which pants did you bought fron LN-CC? Exciting!

Based on your comments on Thirtyfour probably it has a long way to achieve the status as high-quality leather maker.
