Looking back at 2012

It's that time of the year again, and just like previously, my perennial tardiness of publishing a post on 'New Year Celebration' is borderline habitual. Let me cut to the chase: I personally do not believe in resolutions, but I do believe in changes. Year 2012 saw me at a new place of work and a relatively alien working environment. However it seems that I have adapted to all the apparent differences and nuances by the time I'm typing this. Fashion-wise: not much, I'd say. Just a few tweaks here and there (including this blog) and may I add there has been an increase of 'designer' items in my wardrobe, slowly replacing the high-street and thrifted/ vintage pieces I've been relying on for so long. Perhaps an increase in income (but not THAT much) allows me to do so? Suddenly LN-CC and Club 21 Singapore sales items appeared much more affordable than ever…

Okay, enough talk about clothes. How did you guys celebrate your new year? I had a blast having barbecue with friends on new year eve feasting on chicken, beef and seafood marinated by lovely mother, at the porch!

On the following day we woke up quite early and decided to watch Les Misérables (got to love Anne Hathaway singing), and later on explored parts of old Malacca town that is new territory even to me. The celebration ended with a lovely dinner by the riverside (despite the rather tasteless teriyaki beef that I had we quite enjoyed the serene ambience of the Malacca river bank at night - almost completely devoid of tourists)…

Happy New Year, Dunia Fashyon readers. May there be may great things for this blog in year 2013!
