Stripes and spots for the weekend

As the title suggests I have been wearing striped tees and spots quite often lately, evident in my previous outfit posts. Well, often is an understatement actually. More like on a daily basis. An abundance of Uniqlo stripes, that is. This time around I'm inclined to pair it with a loosely nautical-inspired hat from Uniqlo as well. I'm thinking whether I should post my looks at Uniqlooks because thus far the content of my wardrobe is gradually being replaced by more and more basics from the Japanese giant clothing label...

Spots, on the other hand, is relatively a new territory for me. True, I have one or two polka-dot items at hand but jumping on the leopard print band wagon is quite a ballsy attempt personally. I have worn something with animalistic pattern previously but basically that is it. Pairing this leopard print shirt with comparatively 'quieter' items perhaps will tone down what I think a visually blatant top half of my body. And of course, another straw hat plays a role here (stolen from a dear friend, no less). Ha!

P.S: I think these two looks are very suitable for a casual weekend out with friends and family, say, for a picnic, a stroll at the park, or even for an afternoon window shopping...
